EXCAVATING

Our fleet of trenchers, excavators, backhoes, and trucks enable us to handle any job our customers require. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff can identify problems before they occur.

DIRECTIONAL DRILLING

Directional boring, commonly called horizontal directional drilling or HDD, is a steerable trenchless method of installing underground pipes, conduits and cables in a 1shallow arc along a prescribed bore path by using a surface launched drilling rig, with minimal impact on the surrounding area. Directional boring is used when trenching or excavating is not practical. Directional boring minimizes environmental disruption. It is suitable for a variety of soil conditions and jobs including road, landscape and river crossings. Eureka has the capacity to directional bore to accommodate 3/4" to 24" pipe. JOINT TRENCH

Joint-trench, sometimes called "common trench" installation, is becoming more prevalent. In recent years, a growing number of utilities including Idaho Power, Intermountain Gas Company, Cableone, Cox and Qwest are realizing the benefits of joint trench, which include:

Fewer construction crews working in the area improves worker safety and lowers the risk of hitting other utilities.
Shared cost between jointly installing utilities saves participating utilities 30% to 40%.
The timeline from design to completion is shortened when a standard multi-utility installation design is used.
Builders, developers and the community appreciate the conservation of right-of-way
The uniform design makes it easier for future excavators to locate existing utilities.
UTILITY INSTALLATION SYSTEMS

Eureka Construction and Excavating, Inc. works together with developers and engineers to consult and advise on the installation of utility distribution networks for their residential and commercial projects. This includes device positioning, conduit duct structures, municipality compliance, etc.

VACCUM EXCAVATION
Small Hole Vacuum Excavation is an emerging construction practice that is gaining momentum as todays crowded utility ROWs present an ever increasing challenge to many utility projects.

In additional to other applications, vacuum excavation is valuable in exposing high profile utilities such as, fiber optic, phone bundles, high pressure gas and power saving major time and money.

Where accepted, the roadway may be returned to traffic without asphalt cold-patch, milling or repaving, saving significant restoration costs.

This practice results in projects that are completed quickly, conveniently and at an affordable cost.

URBAN PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION
